Read the landing before using hard drop
Use Left and Right or A and D to position the falling piece, and Up or W to rotate it. Before pressing Space for a hard drop, identify the cells where the piece will come to rest. Down or S provides a softer descent while you learn the controls. Treat hard drop as a commitment to a placement you understand, not as a way to discover the landing after it happens.
For the first practice run, pay attention to empty cells below the surface of the stack. A covered hole cannot be filled directly by an ordinary falling piece until the stack above it opens. Aim for a surface whose gaps you can still reach. Completing a horizontal row clears it, which can change the shape you were reading. Reinspect the board after a clear rather than relying on the plan from the previous piece.
Review the decision that created a difficult stack
After a run becomes difficult, locate the first inaccessible hole or unusually tall area you remember creating. Ask whether you rotated too late, moved to the wrong column or committed the hard drop before checking the shape. Choose one habit for the next attempt, such as inspecting the landing first. Watching that decision is more useful than trying to reproduce a fixed piece sequence that the guide cannot guarantee.
Use P to pause when the edition permits it and Restart when you want a fresh attempt, as described on the play page. The locally recorded best is a personal browser result, not an online ranking of other players. Do not compare it with a leaderboard from a different block game. This center focuses on the verified desktop control scheme and basic placement reasoning; it does not claim an untested competitive ruleset, multiplayer mode or strategy that always prevents the stack from ending a run.
As a placement drill, identify the highest part of the current stack and one lower area that the visible piece might fit. Compare the accessible cells in those two places before moving. If the lower area would leave a covered gap, consider another placement instead of judging only the top outline. After the piece lands, inspect whether your prediction matched the board. Repeating this inspection helps separate a control mistake from a shape-reading mistake. The next visible piece and the current stack supply the decision; a memorized drop pattern cannot describe every situation.

Block Drop questions and answers
What does Space do?
Space drops the current block instantly. It is different from Down or S, which speeds up the fall while leaving more time for adjustments.
Does my best score follow my account?
The documented best score is saved on this device. Account favorites do not synchronize that game score across browsers.
Is Block Drop fully original?
It is a Cozcade adaptation of the MIT-licensed vue-tetris source. The edition marker identifies the hosted adaptation and does not replace the original author’s credit.
