Choose AION 2 servers by service and region
AION 2’s global FAQ identifies North America, South America, Europe and Japan server locations, with Steam and PURPLE sharing servers. Progress from the Korean or Taiwan service does not carry into global. The same FAQ officially supports Windows PC, not every device that might launch the game.
Before choosing a server, record the service, region, faction and the server your friends use. A familiar server name by itself is not a complete identity. If you are following a Korean or Taiwan guide, check whether the instruction applies to your global client before spending time on an unlock or planning an event.

Check Steam and PURPLE account choices
The global FAQ says the two platforms have the same in-game content. Linking is needed if you want the same character and progress on both; Steam play by itself does not require a linked PURPLE account. When changing launchers, confirm which character and region you are looking at before assuming progress has disappeared.
Make a short note of the launcher you normally use and the region selected on it. Keep account access on official services. Cozcade does not ask for a game login, recover characters or transfer progress. If the wrong account or region appears, resolve that on the original platform before using a guide for an in-game task.

Server selection and Spacetime Rift opponents
The global matchmaking announcement explains that Elyos and Asmodian servers are paired for cross-faction modes including Spacetime Rifts and the Abyss. Pairings are temporary and can change. Its advanced-access table is a dated announcement, not a guaranteed live list for every server today.
When checking a Rift guide, compare the service and your current pairing as well as the location. Use the latest region-specific announcement and the in-game state. A map marker does not prove that an entrance is open, and another region’s timer does not establish your next opening. This draft does not yet have an officially verified repeating Rift schedule.
Read the October transfer announcement by server cohort
The October 10 global notice schedules Early Access transfers after the October 13 PDT / October 14 CEST maintenance and before the following maintenance. Launch-server transfers begin after October 20 PDT / October 21 CEST and end before the next maintenance. The notice ties these boundaries to maintenance completion, not to a precise countdown instant.
It requires a same-region, same-faction destination; Early Access transfers stay within Early Access servers. Eligible characters must be at least level 10, in a village, without a Legion or pending application, and without an active Duty mission. Unclaimed items, market proceeds and capacity limits can block the request. Check the full official notice for the complete conditions and current destination availability.
Use the local checklist below to prepare your questions, then check the actual transfer interface. A checklist result cannot reserve a destination or guarantee that capacity remains available. Do not transfer merely because a clock reaches zero: the announcement also gives different daily purchase windows by region.
Read maintenance and transfer times with their dates
Keep the announcement’s date and explicit timezone together. October and November cross daylight-saving changes in some regions, so one fixed offset is not suitable for an indefinitely repeating schedule. “After maintenance” also describes a condition rather than a guaranteed completion time.
For a reliable timer, first obtain an exact dated instant, its timezone, the service and affected servers. Convert that instant to your own timezone, retain the original label, and show when it was checked. If a notice changes or maintenance is extended, replace the affected event. Do not silently roll a passed event into another cycle without a stated recurrence rule.
The latest announcement list includes completed maintenance and resolved outages. Those labels are not a promise that every player can connect right now. Use the most recent applicable notice and the client’s actual response. This draft supplies source links and a preparation checklist rather than a live status claim.

Keep each later tool tied to a real player task
For your next AION 2 task, keep one question and one applicable service together: which server should I choose, am I eligible for the announced transfer period, or is a Rift open in my current pairing? A class ranking or map marker cannot answer the transfer question. Read the specific announcement before acting on a general guide.

Frequently asked questions
Can Korean or Taiwan progress move into the global service?
The checked global FAQ says that progress does not carry into global. Identify the service before comparing servers or following transfer instructions.
Do Steam and PURPLE have different game servers?
The global FAQ describes the same content and servers. Linking is relevant when accessing the same progress on both platforms; Steam play alone does not require that link.
Does the preparation checklist guarantee a transfer?
No. The current in-game interface and official conditions determine eligibility and destination capacity. The checklist does not reserve a place or connect to an account.
Why is there no repeating Spacetime Rift countdown?
A reliable timer needs a verified service-specific recurrence and current pairing. Those are not established here; an old timestamp or another region’s schedule cannot supply them.
